About Majid
Majid Khan is the founder and editor of AirportCosts and the owner of Prime Airport Transfer, a London airport transfer company. He has spent years in the airport transfer industry, arranging and pricing journeys to and from Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Luton, and kept seeing the same problem: a cheap flight turns expensive the moment the airport journey is added, and travellers rarely have the full picture before they book.
He started AirportCosts to fix that. The site gives travellers a clear, independent breakdown of what it really costs to reach the capital's airports by train, coach, Underground, DART, car and private transfer, with the hidden extras like terminal drop-off charges and luggage friction spelled out next to the headline fare, not buried in the small print.
Majid researches and fact-checks every fare and fee against official operator and airport sources, and updates the pages whenever charges change. When a page recommends an option, the cheaper public alternative always stays visible, because hiding it would make the advice less honest and less useful.
Transparency: Majid also runs Prime Airport Transfer. It appears as one transfer option on some pages, always clearly marked, but cheaper public transport choices stay on the page and the commercial link never changes the editorial advice.

How Majid checks the numbers
Every fare, fee and rule is verified against primary sources, which means train and coach operators, Transport for London, and each airport's own website, before it goes on the page. Fixed published charges such as a terminal drop-off fee are stated as current rules; taxi and transfer prices are given as ranges because traffic, passenger count, luggage and pickup location all change the final figure. Read the full methodology and editorial policy for how this works.
