A cookie is a small browser file. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, tags and web beacons. They can remember a choice, protect a service, measure use or support advertising. The provider, purpose and duration shown in the live consent platform take priority if a vendor changes its current cookie name or lifespan.
The site itself does not use a custom consent cookie. Google's certified consent platform may store the choice needed to remember and prove your privacy selections. Hosting and security services may also use storage strictly required to deliver or protect the site. These purposes cannot be switched off in the consent panel where the law recognises them as necessary.
Google Analytics runs with Consent Mode storage denied by default. Before consent it may send cookieless measurement pings; it does not receive the calculator query string as page location. If analytics consent is given, Google Analytics may set or read identifiers such as _ga and related measurement cookies. Typical Google Analytics browser cookies can persist for up to two years, subject to the consent choice and Google's controls.
When AdSense is activated on an approved editorial page, Google and consented vendors may use cookies, local storage, web beacons, IP addresses and device identifiers for ad delivery, fraud prevention, frequency control, measurement and, only with the necessary choice, personalisation. Vendor names, purposes and storage durations are shown in the certified consent platform.
Advertising is not loaded on the calculator, calculator-result URLs, local route pages, forms, policy pages, noindex pages, error pages or any page requested with a query string. The privacy and cookie policy pages also omit Google Analytics and consent-platform scripts.
When advertising is activated, visitors in the UK, EEA and Switzerland will receive Google's certified Privacy & Messaging consent interface before optional advertising or analytics storage is enabled. The interface must provide a clear reject option as well as consent and vendor-level controls. Refusing optional storage does not block the airport guides.
After AdSense is activated, use Privacy & cookie settings in the footer to reopen the certified consent interface. You can change or withdraw consent there. You can also clear site data or block cookies in your browser, although browser controls do not replace a previously recorded consent choice on every device.
Airport, rail, coach and transfer links open services controlled by other organisations. Their cookies and privacy choices are governed by their own notices once you leave AirportCosts.
