Privacy Policy

AirportCosts is operated by Majid Khan. This notice explains what the site processes, why it is processed, who receives it and the choices available to you.

Who Controls Your Data

Majid Khan, trading through AirportCosts.com, is the controller for information collected directly through this website. Privacy enquiries and rights requests can be sent to info@airportcosts.com.

Information You Choose To Provide

The site has no user accounts. If you email us or use a contact or partner form, we receive the contact details, message and supporting information you submit. We use it to answer the request, investigate a correction, assess a partnership enquiry, prevent abuse and keep an evidence trail where necessary. The lawful bases are legitimate interests in operating and improving the site, steps requested before a possible contract, and legal obligations where they apply. Do not submit passports, payment-card details, booking references or medical information.

Calculator Inputs

The calculator asks for an airport, passenger count, luggage count, trip type and broad travel considerations. It uses a fixed Central London starting point and does not ask for or transmit a home address. Non-sensitive selections may appear in the calculator page URL so a comparison can be restored. Calculator pages and all query-string pages are excluded from advertising.

Technical Logs

The hosting service may record the requested path, date and time, IP address, browser or device information, referring page and error details. These logs are used for security, fraud prevention, availability and fault diagnosis under our legitimate interests. They are kept only for the provider's operational and security cycle, or longer where a specific incident or legal obligation requires it.

Google Analytics And Consent Mode

Google Analytics is used to measure page use and diagnose site performance. Consent Mode defaults analytics and advertising storage to denied. Before consent, Google may receive cookieless pings containing limited technical and event information, including an IP address used for transmission and broad location or device signals; the site sends a cleaned page location without query strings or fragments. Analytics cookies and full analytics storage are enabled only through the Google-certified consent platform where consent is required. Google acts as a service provider for this processing. The lawful basis for cookie-based analytics is consent; security and basic aggregate measurement rely on legitimate interests only where law permits.

Google AdSense And Advertising Data

When AdSense is activated on an approved editorial page, Google and participating advertising vendors may place or read cookies, use web beacons, collect IP addresses and use device or advertising identifiers to deliver, limit, secure and measure ads. Personalised advertising is used only when the required consent has been obtained. Limited or non-personalised ads may still require local storage or cookies for fraud prevention and measurement, so the consent platform controls the available choices. Google explains how it uses information from partner sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Certified Consent Platform And Withdrawal

When advertising is activated, choices for visitors in the UK, EEA and Switzerland will be collected through Google's certified Privacy & Messaging consent platform using the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework where applicable. It must offer consent, rejection and vendor-level controls. The Privacy & cookie settings link in the footer will reopen those choices so consent can be changed or withdrawn as easily as it was given.

Recipients And International Transfers

Information may be processed by hosting, email, security, analytics and advertising providers that support AirportCosts. Google and other vendors may process data outside the UK or EEA. Where required, those providers rely on recognised safeguards such as adequacy regulations or approved standard contractual clauses. External airport, rail, coach and transfer websites become separate controllers when you choose to visit them.

How Long Information Is Kept

Contact correspondence and correction evidence are kept only while needed to answer the request, maintain an accurate editorial record, resolve disputes or meet legal duties. Analytics event-level data should be limited to the shortest useful account setting and no longer than 14 months. Security logs follow the hosting provider's short operational cycle unless an incident requires preservation. Consent records are retained for the period needed to demonstrate the choice and are renewed when required by the consent platform.

Your Rights

Depending on the law that applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or an objection to processing, and you may withdraw consent at any time. Email info@airportcosts.com with enough detail to identify the information. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. A request will not normally require a fee, but identity may need to be verified.

Policy Pages And Updates

The privacy and cookie policy pages do not load Google Analytics, AdSense or the consent-platform tag. This notice will be updated when the site adds a material data use, vendor or retention change. Last materially updated: 17 August 2026.
